Hear, Hear

I'll add that I, for one, wish that all who cry rivers of tears over the fate of the American Indigenes would have the decency to ship themselves off to whatever part of Europe, Asia, or Africa that they choose and might be willing to take them.

Now, granted there were horrible injustices involved in the post-Columbian settlement of North America, but...

When Jamestown and Plymouth Colony were founded, there were perhaps ten millions of people living in all the territory between the Gulf of Mexico and the North Pole and between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. That the USA and Canada are now home to well over 300 millions living in much greater relative prosperity (including the descendants of the Indigenes) than they knew before, and who have benefited much of the world beyond their shores, makes this all-too-common exercise in guilt-tripping silly beyond all measure.
