What percent of land in Persia was owned by Muslims?

Dear Dr Pipes: Pertaining to Vadim Anshelevichv's above question, we should also not forget to ask what percent of land in Persia was owned by Muslims when Mohammad unleashed Muslims to conquer non-Muslim lands. What do people think? And, in particular, what do Islamic scholars think?
