Moral Equivalency Outrage!Reader comment on item: Extras about Zionists Purchasing Israel, Not Stealing Palestine Submitted by sara (United States), Jul 1, 2011 at 17:14 How did this happen to transpire; that countries who have pillaged and ravaged others can look at Israel with a straight face and condemn her for acquiring land in a peaceful fashion? This while millions of Jews were massacred, while hundreds of thousands were chased from their HOMES without their confiscated belongings. This while past Imperialist nations have so conveniently forgotten their histories? British Empire- how many conquests? Dutch, Spanish, Portugese, Arab? Where are the cries against them? And look what a mess they created in the process, partitioning parcels of land arbitrarily in the ME, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and yes, Israel. We have the British and the French to thank for all of the craziness there now. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
