Tooled Against Confusion - Ephesians 6:10-17Reader comment on item: U.S.-Pakistan Relations in Decline Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jul 5, 2011 at 13:11 In acknowledging the difficulties that are indeed caused by confusion, confusion is actually a tool of religious disparities and is amply and effectively applied the Adversary in ways that are as destructive and dissembling as the hatred that motivates it. And, it is correct to expect that anytime there is a human logic based attempt to put into the Holy Scriptures that which was not part of the message given from above, confusion abounds, just as the Adversary expects and incites. But, once anyone begins to look at the writings that comprise the Hebrew Holy Scriptures and begins to think that the human element was not taken into account as they were developed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, then there lays the problem, one that is completely taken advantage of by the Adversary; and through which confusion is allowed to pervade the disparate factions that faux Christianity has permitted for the lack of seeking Holy Spirit-guided instructions. Taking at face value any 'Religionist' perception of what the Scriptures say independent of the guidance of the Holy Bible (whichever version one holds to) does no service to the student of the WORD of the LORD. Since not all can apprehend the ancient languages that comprise the original manuscripts prior to copying, there is (just as there was in ancient times) the necessity to rely upon the power of Almighty God to provide His spiritual guidance to determine the veracity and authenticity of the Gospels, the Torah, Neviim, Kethuvim, and the letters that comprise His revelation and instructions of life in this world in preparation for the life in eternity. Yet, in spite of that remonstration, the Adversary, from even before the appearance of Yeshua HaMashiach, continues to strike blows to the process of revealing that which the Almighty Eternal Sovereign of Israel wants for humanity. Confusion was introduced in the garden; it was attempted against the Anointed One in the desert; and it is pervasive to this very day because of one most compelling reason; not seeking the guidance of the LORD at every approach of reading the Holy Bible. It all boils down to trust: in whom does one trust to have the WORD of the LORD properly revealed? There is, of a matter of course, only one answer: trusting in Yeshua HaMashiach. Since no contemporary man or woman alive today was in the upper room during Yeshua's parting eulogy, we today are disposed to resort to the only means provided to approach and engage an eternal relationship with the Father in heaven: to quote Yeshua; "search the scriptures;" and "abide in Him;" and, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." You will notice that no specific order was applied; it requires the power of the Holy Spirit to make the individual application. Confusion is, indeed, an enemy to be confronted, which by the way is something Paul taught about. Remembering that Paul was confronted with heresies in his own day, is it not hard the n to see how in subsequent centuries people have tried every which way to either harness Paul's writing to their own humanist advantage, or make scurrilous allegations of his words as perverted by others to make out a different message than originally intended. In any case, seeking the Holy Spirit for the very discernment every follower of Yeshua HaMashiach needs to be true in discipleship is a Biblical mandate; and not seeking the LORD before each devotional reading of the Scripture will always lend to confusion in each and every attempt. Want to clear up the confusion? Asking Yeshua is the best way to get His answer: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
