"Chechen civilization" - slave markets, beheadings and kidnappingsReader comment on item: Cyprus on the World Stage Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Oct 28, 2011 at 09:52 Debanjan Banerjee wrote "Russia's main weakness in modern times is a demographic decline. Here is where ethnonationalism should give way to pragmatism. Russian people are intelligent enough to understand that amongs the populations of Russia it is these Muslims of Chechnya who are more populous in numbers and thereby the possible ones who can continue with their civilization (as Slavs continue to decrease in numbers) So it will be in the interest of the Russians to cultivate her ties with the Muslim Chechens (remember Islam is as old in Russia as is Orthodox Christianity) and Turkey can certainly play an important role here." Funny to read your fiction and distortions and compare them to reality. You write e.g. "it is these Muslims of Chechnya who are more populous in numbers". There are still 140 mln people in Russia. Some 110 mln are ethnic Slavs who dfine themselves as Russians. There are c. 1 mln Chechens. How can 1 mln Chechens be ęmore populousę than the 110 mln Russians? So in your maths if for one Chechen you have some 10-11 Russians , then the Russians are lost ? You bury the Russians too early, Moslem. And they showed during the two wars with the Chechens they they haven't forgotten their great military traditions. As to continuing their "civilization" the Chechens showed excellently well this "civilization" before - by exterminating the Russians living in Chechnia in the early 90-ies and then in places like Budionnovsk, Kizlar, and especially Beslan and a plethora of others less known in the West , but remembered in Russia. Chechens are a primitive clan-ridden society of gangsters, killers and kidnappers. During their so called "independence" under Dudayev and later they developed e.g. slavery as an perfectly legal shariah-compliant institution and in Grozny there was a regular slave market . On their markets beside slaves and arms they sold videos with scenes of sadistic tortures and beheadings not just of Russian soldiers and civilians. If you earch the net you will find many of these videos available for free watching even now. But the Chechens used to behead also foreigners. In short, it is the Rusians that prevented this "Chechen civilization" from further "development" by force despite the mass influx of Turkish jihadists to Chechnia in those years. Turkey has played the role of a rear and reserve front for the Chechen jihad. It is only the Russians that guarantee that this barbarity assisted by Turkey which you praise as "civilization" is not revived and doesn't lead more beheadings, kinappings and slave markets in Chechnia and outside of it , to new Beslans.
