Debanjan I think you are the blind one hereReader comment on item: Cyprus on the World Stage Submitted by Peter Hall (Australia), Nov 7, 2011 at 19:01 Dear Debanjan, If I may comment yet again! you asked What is the scientific proof that the Romanians of today are infinitely grateful for being subjugated by a Roman tyrant a millenia or two ago ? There is no scientific proof, it isn't a scientific question, but a historical one! You also say again My Answer --- > Sorry your argument did not refute my viewpoint. What I said was that Rome did not offer citizenship to her conquered people becasue she feared that doing so would deprive her of many slaves who were the lifeblood of Roman economy. This has been answered Rome did offer citizenship and under certain circumstances Roman citizenship! You are wrong, it is a commonly know fact that Rome has offered citizenship. Also Roman citizens did actually choose to become Gladiators, for the fame and money that was available. So you are wrong on all levels. Try reading a bit of history and just dont make things up to annoy people. You final and most stupid question/statement was Tell me this simple fact , do you believe that the whole practise of gladiatorship was pure evil or not ? This barbaric practise took the lives of thousands of innocent lives through centuries whereby men were well trained in killing techniques and then sent to fight and kill and maime their own fellow human beings as well being devoured by Lions , tigers , Panthers and bears. Do you consider that this barbaric and inhuman acts were civilized that you make excuses for them ? I am proud that Ottomans or for that matter no other Muslim dynasty ever practised a macabre spectacle of death in an industrial form like your glorious Roman empire did. Firstly, it is accepted that the practices that were held in the Roman arena were barbaric! That is why we dont have gladiators any more you stupid man! What an inane question. So you believe the Islamic spectical of stoning women to death is not macarbe? Have you not seen the crowds of Muslims in Saudi Arabia, Iran and formerly in Afghanistan who watch in their 1000s people being beheaded and having limbs cut off ????? I am not talking about 2000 years ago my poor ignorant Debanjan, I am talking now about Muslim factory cruelty. I am sure the Armenians 1.6 million are happy about how uncruel the Turks were during WW1, or the 5000 Greeks who were murdered by the Turks when they invaded Cyrprus, or the 1.1 million Hindus who were killed or forced to convert when Pakistan invaded East Pakistan or the 90 million Indian Hindus killed when the Muslims invaded India or the 200 million Africans who died under Muslim Slavery or the estimated 700,000 Jews of the Arabian Peninsula who were murdered or enslaved. Where is this proud history you speak of? Again I can say that the western world has had its fair share of mistakes and many times demonstrated its inhumanity to man, but are you going to continue your denial of the sins of Islam and Mohammed? Man up a bit Debanjan, stop playing the victim, its old now!
