Flawed AnalysisReader comment on item: Egypt's Sham Election Submitted by Karim (Oman), Dec 7, 2011 at 00:07 This is a very flawed analysis. The Muslim Brotherhood have been at the receiving end of the military dictatorship in Egypt for as long as that dictatorship was in power, it is inconceivable that the Brotherhood will make a deal with the military knowing the Brotherhoods deep penetration of the Egyptians psychic as savior and protector of the faith. The Brotherhoods day is now, and they know it, why would they give it up? Or share it with their oppressor for that matter? My secularist half cringe when it sees Islamists advance in any election, as I know it is a step backward, but my pragmatic half accepts that this is a must evil, as we have to take this step back for us to move forward later on. It seems that my fellow Arabs are hell bent on burning their fingers with Islamist government for them to know that it will not work in the long run. Let us all hope that the learning will be short lived, and the fallout will not be as catastrophic as pundits think. Submitting....
