I just finished reading Youssef Aboul Enein's book "Militant' Ideology, Understanding the Global Threat" published by the Naval Institute" And it is a terrible book. i also read the review of the book by Raymond Ibrahim and I very much agree with him

This is part of what Mr Ibrahim wrote:

His position on appeasing the Muslim world—a fixed feature of the current administration's policies—is clear. Aboul-Enein recommends that, if ever an American soldier desecrates a Koran, U.S. leadership must relieve the soldier of duty, offer "unconditional apologies," and emulate the words of Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Hammond: "I come before you [Muslims] seeking your forgiveness, in the most humble manner I look in your eyes today, and say please forgive me and my soldiers," followed by abjectly kissing a new Koran and "ceremoniously" presenting it to Muslims.

What is most amazing about Mr Enien's advice is that it is contrary to what it says in the Qur'an and the tradition where it says in Q56:77-79 and here is the Arabic text so no one can say that we are making things up

انه لقران كريم في كتاب مكنون لا يمسه الا المطهرون

or this is a noble qur'an in a book kept hidden and not to be touched except by the pure ones

Which means that non Muslims are not supposed to even touch a copy of the Qur'an let alone kiss it as Mr Enein seems to suggest as a non Muslim is نجس or unclean and this is what the islamic tradition tells us

How come he did not know that? This is very poor advice and i would even dare say dangerous

Oh there is more Mr Enein seems to have no clue about ayat al-irhab as he claims that there is no mention of terror in the Qur'an.

Dr. Pipes it is the islamic tradition that tells us that Q8:60 is called ayat al-irhab or the terrorism verse and it is on the logo and flag of the Muslim Brotherhood

How come he is not aware of that? Unless we kuffar are reading a different copy of the Qur'an

It is shocking that tax payers money would pay for publishing such poor work
