The Christian Bible says God sent His Son down to close His Real Estate Business.Reader comment on item: Claiming Jerusalem is in the Koran Submitted by Isa Almisry (United States), Mar 10, 2012 at 23:52 Your Bible missing John 4:21-23? Arabs have lived in and around ALL of Palestine for over 2,000 years. Remember Ishmael? "Now the weight of the gold that came to Solomon...besides that which came from the traders and and from the traffic of the merchants, and from all the kings of the Arabs and from the governors of the land..." I Kings 10:14-15. His father David had just conquered Jerusalem for the Hebrews c. 1000 BC. The Assyrian King Shalmaneser III records in 853 BC "Gindibu the Arab" as an ally and neighbor of King Ahab of Israel in fighting off the Assyrian advance down the Levant. Nehemiah records "Geshem the Arab" as an opponent of the rebuilding of the Temple. "Philip the Arab" was born in the Biblical Bashan/Gilead in 204, and went on to ascend to the purple for Rome's Millennium celebration in 248. According to the Church Fathers, he was the first baptized Roman Emperor, but in secret. Arab Christians were born and lived in Palestine centuries before Muhammad was born. His successor 'Umar received the surrender of Jerusalem from Patriarch St. Sophronius of Jerusalem and All Palestine, himself an Arab. The Romans had expelled the Jews in 70, and the Jews were not allowed to settle permanently in Jerusalem until the Arab conquest in 638. The Crusaders butchered their way into Jerusalem, massacring all the Jews with the Muslims, and the Jews were not allowed to return until the Muslims recaptured it for Islam in 1187, how it remained until the past century. Laying aside the claims of whom God has given Jerusalem and the Holy Land, in any case their remains the FACT that Jerusalem was founded a gentile city, and has been so for the last two milennia versus one Jewish millennium. And whereas the Hebrews/Jews had it just a millennium, it has spent over 13 of its last centuries (except for the Crusader interlude 1099-1187, when Jews were not allowed in) under Islam.
