Colouring RacismReader comment on item: The Arabs as Seen Fifty Years Ago Submitted by Amin Riaz (United Kingdom), Mar 23, 2012 at 15:03 "The Palestinians were racists when they refused to accept Jews have a right to be in Israel and to co-exist, it was their racist views that was the origin of their plight." You have real funny definitions of the word Racism. From personal accusations and beyond. I suppose the native Americans were racist to resist the invading white Europeans. If my reading is of the situation is right. Most Palestinian and Jews are of one Semitic race. ----- "The Palestinians individually, gladly sold their land, and still want to except for the death threats they face from their fellow Palestinians if they do." Initially Arabs welcomed Jews into the Holy Lands - It was after they realized the Jewish intention was to impose sovereignty and their sole authority. In West Bank - Israel does what it feels like. Many Jews settled there are American. ---- "The Palestinians would have a rich and prosperous country now if they had welcomed the Jews to their poor and backward land in the 1900's. Much as the Palestinians want others to welcome them." Why should they? This wasn't Jewish land... --- "If they had welcomed the Jews, there would not have been the need for the British to partition in 1948, and the UN to endorse the founding of Israel." The intention of Zionist was to create a state that was the Jewish homeland. Imposed sovereignty. Before that even your comments agree - Jews were welcome. Submitting....
