He Says It Every time.Reader comment on item: Chris Christie's Islam Problem Submitted by Mark D. (United States), May 3, 2012 at 20:05 Good, now that you say so, that is my belief. Actually that had been my belief. Then I kept on reading Romney's views and out of respect because I do value his intellect and has been my choice for the Republican presidential candidacy, so I wondered maybe there was something there. But well that is what Romney says every time he is asked, Dr. Pipes. What if Chris Christie was the one who made such statements, you'd jump all over him, but not Romney? http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=47782 "During an interview with US News reporter Dan Gligoff published June 3, 2009, Mitt Romney offered the following bizarre observation about the living Islamic institution of jihad, ostensibly to "clarify" remarks made during an earlier speech at the Heritage Foundation: I spoke about three major threats America faces on a long term basis. Jihadism is one of them, and that is not Islam. Romney—notwithstanding this distressingly ridiculous pronouncement—remains, for now, the front running contender for the Republican Presidential nomination. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, in stark contrast to the muddled and craven nonsense uttered by Romney on jihad during his US News interview,".... Mark D.
