And what if assisting anybody anywhere except oneself everywhere is no concern and no objective at all ?Reader comment on item: Wait Out the War in Syria Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Aug 24, 2012 at 07:24 David V wrote : " my platoon mate and I decried the Arab Spring as a horrific event that would not only destabilize the region, but would prove counter productive to the west and ruin the lives of many minorities." Has it never occurred to you that destabilization and ruining was the precise objective of the so called "Arab Spring" ? If the master of the world is weak and broke and yet he wants to remain atop the pyramid of world power for ever, then he has few options except making his rival even weaker by creating destabilization and chaos in the areas which are or may be of any use for the rival. It is obvious that China lost most in Libya and that the unleashed forces of jihad may be channeled further against China or Russia. "Tunisia - on it's way to a theocracy. Egypt - on it's way to a theocracy." Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also malignant theocracies and yet excellent friends and allies of the US. "Libya - turning into Somalia" But oil fields are safe for "democracy" and apparently out of reach of the Chinese oil companies, aren't they? >A firm supporter of military action, I felt betrayed that NATO attacked Ghadaffi.< And did you have any feelings when the same NATO gang treacherously attacked Serbia in 1999 ? You believed the "genocide" lie circulated by it and its Moslem cronies, didn't you ? >He may have been a giant douche, but removing him did nothing to help the middle east.< What if helping the Middle East was no concern and no objective at all for the planners and paymasters of Libya's regime change and partition ? Then everything that has happened in Libya and is happening in Syria now would be quite logical, coherent and rational, wouldn't it ?
