Sep. 29 fakes part of psychological war

Reader comment on item: Thoughts on the Syrian Downing of a Turkish Warplane

Submitted by Syrian Observer (United States), Sep 29, 2012 at 17:54

The documents published on Sep. 29 by Al-Arabiya, Saudi mouthpiece (not Al-Jazeera, Qatari mouthpiece) made me laugh. The way they are written leaves no doubt that they are fakes and an obvious tool of psychological war. In a few lines, they lump in the responsibility of the Russian naval base and a dumb idea to send the pilots to Hezbollah. They just forgot Iran. It's unworthy of you, Mr. Pipes, as an established expert on Syria, to publish a link to this 'startling news' garbage without a caveat. I wonder if you even took the pain to read these supposes letters.

Daniel Pipes replies:

You know the report to be false? Fine, I do not.
