Israel's Next Battle FrontReader comment on item: The Hagel Nomination: An Open Letter to Sen. Charles E. Schumer Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Feb 20, 2013 at 15:53 Surprise will be the understatement that will beset the United State's failure to secure the best relationship that it should have obtained with Israel before the outbreak of the next round of anti-Israeli hostilities now waiting in the wings. Unfortunately, what the entreaty to Sen. Shumer failed to recognize is that Sen. Shumer obviously is tied to a different agenda and all of the rhetoric of before is now reduced to just that; rhetoric: clouds without water or real substance. In some instances, the application of double standard concerning things Jewish in the Middle East is actually made by persons of Jewish heritage, a heritage that is in name only, but is not honored for the sake of some rationale that defies the very basis of Jewish existence and the existence of the Jewish nation in its own land of its heritage. That mindset does not merely play into the hands of the enemies of a Jewish nation, but it defies the heritage of the written promises of Israel's Almighty Sovereign as they are being fulfilled as this is being written. The fact of the matter is that Hagel is most likely to be affirmed for the sake of the circumstances that are being readied to confront Israel in the next round of actions against the 'Zionist' state. Think it not so? Look around; the preliminaries are almost over. Hagel will be there to enhance the United States' new position toward Israel following along Candidate Obama's Middle East agenda. It will unfold at his next visit to the Middle East.
