Exclusion of Jews from Juries

I am a court interpreter and was an expert witness in the slander case Maccaba v.s Lichteinstein, the longest slander case in British legal history, heard in the Royal Courts of Justice.

It was a civil case of course but to my astonishment the judge also ruled that Jews should not be allowed to serve on the jury (the slander was spoken in Hebrew, and I am a Hebrew interpreter).
