Who is the real Morsi?Reader comment on item: Must Islamists Be Autocratic? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jul 20, 2013 at 07:23 Dr. Pipes We really do not who is the real Morsi. There are many questions about him that remain unanswered as how can a man like him, whose English is very poor and whose command of logic and common sense is lacking, earn a PhD from a top US university and that is USC? did USC lower their standards which I doubt? So did he really earn such degree? and who paid for his education after all he comes from a poor Egyptian family? and how much do we know about the period that he spent in Southern California? we really do not know And what really happened when he was in prison in Wadi el-Natrun in 2011? who set him free? and the rumors that he was a foreign agent of either the CIA or had some deals with radical Palestinian groups? and we are told that the Egyptian amn el-dawla had evidence of him communicating with a "foreign power" so which foreign power is that? And yes the story that he worked as a consultant for NASA is no more than a blatant lie but why would he claim such thing? it is either he is really stupid or he has no clue or someone told him to say so The other question that puzzled Egyptians where was he when disasters were unfolding as in the attack on the Coptic cathedral or the murder of the Shi3a or the attacks on the Copts all over Egypt or the sexual assaults on women? where was he? and why would he allow the crazy Sheikhs the likes of Asm Abd el-Maged to incite his followers at the rally for the support os Syria to kill the Shi3a and he did not utter a word As for him calling the Jews; Monkeys and pigs he can be forgiven because he was uttering common nasty Islamic anti-Semitism and no more And where was he when one crazy Sheilk suggested that the pyramids and the monuments of ancient Egypt be destroyed? He did not utter a word in spite of the fact that tourism represents 10% of the Egyptian economy I have no doubt that this job was beyond his limited education and to add insult to injury there is no doubt that the person in charge of Egypt was an unelected Islamist by the name of Mohamed Badie who was also el-Murshid or the guide of el-ikhwan Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
