Must Islamists Be Autocratic?Reader comment on item: Must Islamists Be Autocratic? Submitted by BALARABE ABBA (Nigeria), Jul 28, 2013 at 04:12 The truth is emerging when the media propaganda misled the public world wide that anti Mursi protester numbered 22 million, now that pro Mursi are out for counter protest the figure of anti Mursi is being quoted as hundred of thousand, what a disparity and shame? Al sisi is misguided by ambition and is in haste hence he stumbled down finding it out difficult to stand up resorting for a street mandate instead of ballot. Why is he scared of ballot? The brotherhood are now the ones demanding for ballot and anti Mursi opting for military, as per as the democracy is concern who is in the right path? If they numbered so much that the military take it as an excuse for a coup why are they sidelining the brotherhood and trying to brand them terrorist? The back bone of Egypt crisis is the hand work of autocrats and Gulf Monarchs who sees a successful democracy in any Arab country as an encroachment and threat to their legitimacy. They are now solidly behind the military action and pouring out aid in billions in appreciation of saving their legitimacy - only a fool will accept that countries like Saudi Arabia are moderate enough to support the fall of Mursi. By mentioning the word "moderate" in Islamic countries, you can take the whole western world and US for a ride – where are their intellect? Are they also being blind folded by desperation/phobia of political islam? The West and US should understand that recent happening in Egypt and else where in Arab/Islamic countries is just suppression and is a matter of time before it bounce back again. The solution lays on how wisely the go about it. The rest of the world is watching attentively.
