Me Too, Only WorseReader comment on item: Do I Not Criticize Israeli Policies? Submitted by Dave (United States), Oct 4, 2013 at 19:09 I recently submitted a vitriolic op-ed to the Jerusalem Post, which was not surprisingly rejected. I wrote it as a catharsis after the recent prisoner release to get Abbas to talk. I basically said that it was a shameful act of appeasement reminiscent of ghetto Jew behavior. Meanwhile, Isi Liebler, a columnist I usually like, claimed that Netanhayu did it because of pressure from Obama, although he stated that Tzipi Livni called it a "courageous" act. But if Netanhayu promoted Livni as a peace negotiator, then doesn't that cast doubt on the Obama excuse? In any case, I find it hard to believe that Israel can't say no on such an issue. It makes me think that Dr. Pipes is correct in suspecting Netanyahu of harboring grandiose ambitions to be remembered as another Ben Gurion. One more stunt like that and he'll be remembered as another Rodney Dangerfield.
