Strange criticismReader comment on item: Do I Not Criticize Israeli Policies? Submitted by Stephen Connor (United States), Oct 18, 2013 at 13:08 How peculiar to criticize the notion of making peace with one's enemies, as if to suggest that the very premise is absurd. In fact, what seems more absurd is to make peace with anyone other than one's enemies. It bewilders me how anyone would make peace with any entity unless an absence of peace should first exist. There is, of course another form of making peace with one's enemies. That method advocated by Julius Caesar, also known as "The Peace of the Grave." It seems a little barbaric to advocate the anhilation of all entities with which Israel experiences "an absence of peace;" perhaps a bit short sighted, as well. Perhaps Mr. Speedie, having filtered out the absurd criticism and finding no other simply concluded that there was none left. Stephen Connor
