Not odd, if the issue is God

Hi Vijay, I don't know who you are, whether a lawyer or a retired judge or just a private commentator or your qualification to comment on religious matters such as this Malaysian religio-political issue. I was born in Kuala Lumpur in 1948 and have lived there till 1972. Even though I live in Australia now, my interest in Malaysia is current. What about you? I am a pastor for the past 35 years and are well qualified in Biblical theology and comparative religions to make considered comments about this subject for such is the nature of my vocation. I am still a student of theology and very much a student of other religions. What is a scholar to you I wonder and are their religious opinion final in any matter? Are you one and on what subject?

I cannot speak for the wisdom or otherwise of the 3rd judge for using my considered article in his judgment on this issue (which I first interacted with many Malaysians running to epic pages in January 2010, in a forum now removed). My views from this forum was widely published in all the national papers including East Malaysia and Indonesia. My name is well known in Malaysia now with those who are interested in this matter and since then any blogs keeping it alive. Therefore, many do know about me apart from you. I am glad though the judge found it worthy to use my thoughts contrary to your 'wisdom' questioning it. The judge has also used other legal precedence as you noted along with the comments by others like mine. Perhaps, being a social issue he wanted to lay out what other Christians thought about this issue too.

I don't know whether you are a Hindu or an atheist or a 'Christian' or whatever but I can tell you do not know much about theology. The ecumenical sundry 'Christians' and the political activist have hijacked this theological issue for their purpose as a test case for the lack of other human rights in Malaysia. The greatest disservice done here is the corruption of Biblical Christianity with this intrusive Arabic word "Allah' of which I don't think you know much. My interest in this is purely theological. The State and the Church must not mix. So if you are Hindu, stay out of it and if you are a 'Christian' consider what the whole debate means to a Bible believing Christian.
