This is an issue that has been flying "under the radar" in lots of places. Former Guest Workers brought Evangelical Christianity to Turkey, where there are already congregations of ex-Muslims. For the first time in millennia, there are active Christian congregations among the Kabyle of Algeria as well. The persecution of Christians popping up in Iran is happening because the numbers of ex-Muslims is no longer easy to hide. One of China's Evangelical music "stars" had a Muslim Hui background--and was won to Christ by he grandmother. also of Hui "nationality". In the USA, among Christians of Iranian origin, those of Muslim background may have already overtaken historically Christian groups such as Armenians and Assyrians. I've run into ex-Muslim Christians of Palestinian Arab heritage myself, and dealt with Kyrgyz students enquiring into the Christian faith--and how many Kyrgyz were Christian sixty years ago?

As a Christian myself, I am both humbled and grateful that God is bringing such a thing to pass. This is one reason why I do not approve of launching an inter-civilizational war, even if I disapprove strongly of the Islamic religion.
