what's important: the truth

Dear Mark,

This is a love letter to you, because God is love, and He wants you to know the truth.

How important is it whether Russia is Communist, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, or cavemen? Or whether the next U.S. president is democrat or republican? Not very, compared to the question of who is the true God, what is hIs plan and how can I secure my future with Him?

Many, including Muslims, have asked this in prayer and have been given the answer, but you have to be sincere, and you have to set aside preconceived notions.

I have read testimonies by former Muslims in Iran who asked that question. They searched out and studied other religions. When they considered Jesus Christ (whom the Koran actually considers a prophet), they sensed this was the truth and began to be changed from within. They get filled with joy and peace even in the midst of persecution. Some have even been physically healed.

I am not making this up. These are real people in Iran, reporting their experiences. Go to www.persecution.com and read for yourself.

Before you write me off as a wacko infidel, consider this:

1) Literary scholars agree that the Bible (old and new testaments are the most reliable of all ancient writings.

2)There are over 300 prophesies in the old testament pedicting thecoming of a Messiah (saviour), and these are all fulfilled by Jesus Christ in the new testament. Do you know what the chances are that one random person would fulfill that many prophesies? It is ZERO. Ask any mathematician.

3)The Koran says Jesus is a prophet; Jesus himself says He is I AM, that He is God, the FIRST AND THE LAST. So if He is a prophet but not God, then He must be a liar or mentally unstable. He cannot be a prophet and not God.

Mark, I challenge you to search for the truth, and fulfill the purpose for which God made you: that you can glorify Him by living with Him forever - and staying out of hell, a place for those who reject His Son, Jesus.
