It is Written - Search the Scriptures - Obedience to the WORD is Required

What we read here, and elsewhere in this forum, is a diatribe of concessions being given in to the Islamic rage that is supposedly attributable to a greater furor of religion that is observably missing in 'Christendom.' Based upon the ease with which secularistic ideologies seem to be bounding in many, if not all, Western led cultures these days, one might have a tendency to accept such a notion: except the premise supposed in this article missis the mark of what is being seen in these changes of 'culture.'

[The Christians need to wake up and defend their faith. They should not be afraid or ashamed of being called intolerant. The world does not respect complacency. You can see that the more intolerant, and brutal Islam becomes, the more the world allows it to expand].

While the first is a bold statement, which has at its core the desire and fervor of a life dedicated to Christian beliefs, we must view it through a scriptural lens to understand why it misses the mark. Look at the great commission (Matthew 28:19) Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20) teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." It doesn't say defend; nor conquer.

Most of the more than nineteen hundred years since the issuance of that command, finds that it was not understood all that well. Many of the first century saint were martyred following that edict; but after the 'Romanization' of the Christians of the empire, a twist in theology inserted itself and the proselytizing took on its more notorious misunderstanding that has crippled the Christian witness from then until this day. The primary defense of the Christian is engaged in the spiritual realm and trusting in the LORD for the mortal needs is said to be His battle on our behalf.

Modern practices of Christianity today looks much like the practices of the time when Islam was able to cover much of the south Asian land mass and other regions, only being stumped when turned back until the cessation of the Ottomans. Today's resurgence of Islam comes at the lapse of nations in their conscience of not adhering to the Christian principles that brought them out of the dark ages, but they are embracing the darkness of a compromise in ecumenicalism that is to lead to a Biblical determination, that of several promises in the scriptures calling for all nation to account for their sins against Israel….ooopps.

Sins against whom, does it say? Every thought that attempts to deprive Israel of her destiny according to the promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob brings judgment and what is being seen today is the implementation of the indictments against those nations. They cannot bring it about to stop it; repentance only brings temporary reprieve. Want to know how this is supposed to work out: reread Jeremiah 49:14, Ezekiel 38-39 (for the Russian sequence), Zephaniah 3:8, Joel 3:2, 11, and Zechariah 12:3, just to name a few. Look at what is happening and see if it is not so.

Should pretenders to Christianity be worried, probably; for are they, or are they not the ones that will likely break before Islam? In the alternative, true believers in the faith are called to a different expectation, to trust in Him who delivers, no matter the circumstances, no matter what Islam threatens.
