Many blacks come to Islam to clean up their lives. With drugs and alchohol flooding the music scene, it is no surprise jazz has seen many converts. Trust me when I say that those who the faith has saved are the most vehement opponents of extremism. Thank you for giving this humane perspective. Though you qualify it with the Farrakan photo (NOI is black Scientology), this post puts a dignified face on a religion ...
