Keep the Arabs upset and their preachers out of the Civilized world.Reader comment on item: Saudis Bristle at Obama's Outreach to Iran Submitted by Petros Houhoulis (Greece), Jan 23, 2014 at 18:29 Oh, The Saudis and the Sunnis are upset huh? Because Iran and the Shias are increasing their influence in the Middle East eh? Really? Well, Dr Pipes, tell them that we, the Civilized people of Europe and the Americas and Australia and so on are REALLY upset about their proselytizing activities all over the globe. Not to mention the terrorist side of their effort! Europe is about to start sending its' Muslims back to where they came from, and, since the most of those colonists are Sunnis, and since all of the proselytizing centers in Europe are funded by Sunnis, if any of them Sunnis makes any kind of noise against Europe, we shall throw our lot with Iran against them. Perhaps its' time to follow the Daniel Pipes doctrine in the Syrian affairs (support the weaker) all over the Muslim world. Support the weaker Muslim. Perhaps it's time to follow the Petros Houhoulis doctrine all over the world: Support THE MOST CIVILIZED, which in our case is Iran by a wide margin (in comparison to Saudi Arabia and most of Muslim Arabs) Either way, I do not believe that Saudi Arabia should be the leader of the Sunni world, or the Arab world, or the Muslim world. Egypt is a much better Sunni state, even without the oil and the opulence of the Gulf Arabs. Furthermore, if Saudi Arabia buys nuclear weapons from Pakistan, there is a much more serious possibility of them being used against the Iranians, and if the Iranians are ruined, guess who shall regret it the most...
