How about it? What is your point?? The Romans and ancient Greeks and Chinese all used a base 10 numbering system too.

... You are mistaking the use of arabic digits for a mathematical base. Arabic script was taken up after an Italian mathematician, Fibonacci, saw them being used in trade deals by arabs in norh Africa. He quickly realised it was a more efficient system - as Roman numerals were cumbersome and did not have the concept of zero. Roman numerals were quickly dropped as their use was cumbersome and held up business. Another example of people adopting a non-working paradigm en masse - because it was adopted by a totalitarian system. If everyone is doing it does not mean that it is right or the best way to do things - whether it's Caesar, Communism, Nazism or islam that is telling you.

The more salient point is the one that blows your attempt at an 'islam is superior' argument out of the water. Where did the concept and digit Zero come from??? Arabs?? Not likely. In fact the arabs , being the traders that they were saw it in use by the people that invented the concept and used it as a digit - the Hindus in India rather than merely as a place marker in an empty column.

That is absolute rubbish. Look up the discoveries of these ancient Greeks: Hippocrates, Democritus,Alcmaeon, Aristotle, Eratosthenes, Euclid, Galen, Archimedes etc etc . All of these people were Greek and predated Islam by centuries if not a thousand years. The best that can be said is that some scholars , living in the islamic world, had access to the writings of these early Greek, non-muslim shining lights and some of them developed their ideas - most notably the Persian , Avicenna.

So why do you not do something that might be very refreshing for you for once - stop trying to mislead tell the truth ?
