No more abuse from the murderers and the monstersReader comment on item: Forty Years after the Invasion of Cyprus Submitted by Alexandros (United Kingdom), Aug 5, 2014 at 12:11 The plans to divide the island were made by Henry Kissinger and this is completely and undoubtedlly proven, by the research done from Greek-Cypriot journalists on official reports released from the White House after a huge fight in the American courts. The British, after losing the island were scared that they would lose every kind of influence on the island, in case the Cypriots decided to unite with the rest of Greece, something which was the normal thing to happen after gaining their freedom from the Brittons, since the Greek population was 85% of the island. Before the Turkish invasion, the Turkish-Cypriots used to live all over the island among the Greek population and you can very easily find maps for what i am writing by gooling it. The Turks, driven by the Brittish were scared that Cyprus joining the rest of Greece would mean that Turkey is going to be surrounded and isolated from the sea and for that reason, they started paying off fanatics from the Turkish Cypriot population to begin fighting and terrorising the Greek Cypriots. Turkey had plans to invade the island a long time before 1973, but their efforts had failed and that's why Makarios was saying what he was saying, the problem is though tha Makarios was more in favour of an independence and not in favour of joining Greece and by the term Turks he didn't mean the Turkish-Cypriots, but the Turks that started the troubles, because the word Turk in front of Cypriot means stands for Muslim and the proof for that is the behaviour of Ankara after invading the island, which is committing a second genocide now against the Turkish-Cypriots, by trying to inhabit the occupied part with Turks! There were several agreements for the Turkish-Cypriot population and after the London Agreement the Turkish ambassadoa stated that they couldn't believe what they had achieved, since this was the most they could get for a minority and the most ever got in history. The coup was done against Makarios and it was an issue between the Greeks and it had nothing to do with the Turkish-Cypriots. The only national cleansing that happened on the island was the one performed by the Turkish Army after the invasion and the cleansing happened in both sides because of them, since all the Greek-cypriot population of the North, which was the majority, moved to the free island and the Turkish-Cypriot population of the south, being the minority, moved to the occupied North. If Turkey wanted to protect the Turkish Cypriots, they would have invaded in the south of the Island, because the most of the Turkish-Cypriot population, lived in the South.... Belonging in the genocidal nation of Turkey is a shame for every single person! How can you even look back in the Turkish history and not damn it?
