ROP strikes in Israel after a long time

Dear Dr Pipes,

I hope in the long run truth and reason wins over fanaticism and orthodoxy. So I will appeal to all your readers (in particular your Muslim readers). Since the birth of modern Israel, middle east has been the center of fundamentalist violence. Yesterday, four innocent rabbis and a police officer were killed in a synagogue in Jerusalem. Fundamentalists probably do not have a perspective on things. Let meg ive them the perspective. Mecca and Medina are two places very important in Islamic history. If you draw a circle that goes through both Mecca and Medina, you will cover a land mass. You can create 7 Israels in that land mass. So tiny is Israel compared to the land controlled by Muslims. This area between Mecca and Medina was captured by Muhammad, within a few years of his prophethood. How much bloodshed is justified for that small an area that is so directly pious to two major religions?
