Anti-Racism Has Become A Western Obsession

My guess is that the main driver behind tip-toeing around blaming Islam is a fear that more forthright analyses will be perceived as racist, despite the fact that Islam is not a race. Behind it is an over-subscription to the idea that all the ills in the world stem from racism, even Islamic terrorism.

The flawed notion here is that being fair and nice will be reciprocated by everyone, even Islamic supremacists. It ignores Islamic ideology in favor of the ethnocentric idea that Muslims are only reactive to the West. The latest example of the trend is the Senate Intelligence Report On Torture. You can cry and beg forgiveness all you want if it makes you feel better, but it's strategically useless.
