Tough loveReader comment on item: The Middle East Runs out of Water Submitted by Sunshine (Canada), May 8, 2015 at 21:46 I was reading a couple of years ago that Khat in Yemen takes up close to 85% of their water supply. Apparently, they had only enough water for the next five years. And Khat is their main produce. And still, they do Khat. I knew water was a problem but everywhere... hmmm. No need to go to war, just let time go by. By the way, 90% of Muslims I know HATE Israel and the Jews. Ironic that one day soon, they'll be at Israel's mercy.

This report suggests it's about half that number: http://www.yementimes.com/en/1792/health/4018/Yemen's-water-crisis-demands-concerted-action.htm Reader comments (37) on this item
