Lake Urmia

I haven't studied the subject in depth, but according to a YouTube clip, Lake Urmia is no mystery. Turkey's nearby Lake Van is doing fine. Just like the Aral Sea, the major rivers flowing in have been damned and tapped off. Furthermore the bridge over the lake is actually a cause way dividing the lake in two and disrupting it's former currents, leaving the shallower Southern half to dry up. The seawater intrusions into the Nile Delta are not because of rising oceans but because none of the Nile River water reaches the sea any more. This ain't "Global Warming" folks.
