Islam and Water
Reader comment on item: The Middle East Runs out of Water

This story reminds me of Churchill's famous comment on Islam. The portion regarding agriculture and economics of Islamic dominated lands is telling:"...improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish systems of commerce..." according to Churchill dominate the Muslim world.
What is most ironic is that Muslms, both "Islamicist" and "moderate" cling to and proclaim the supremacy, the universality and the necessity of Islam for the world.
