What message islamic terrorists are REALLY sending!

It can be argued that Islamic extremists are not really a part of Islam. True enough, just like christian religious fanatics don't represent all of Christianity. However, Islamic terrorists in their rants, that is crap most likely being drilled into them as children by idiots who have no clue the message they are REALLY sending, seem to always include striking terror in to the hearts of all infidels. Strike terror into all the infidels? All of the West? Really? Don't the extremists realise what is left after the very brief,really brief, fear that someone they know may have been hurt? Anger, then an overwhelming thirst for revenge with strong motivations for justice. Sure diplomacy and justice should be first all things being equal, especially if your on a university campus with liberal professors or listening to almost any politcal news cast. But that is not the emotion being envoked. Like Dennis Miller, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
