This Great Article Made Me Think That Guliani Should Have Made This Contrast Between His Recognizing Islamofascism and Obama being Blind To ItReader comment on item: Denying Islam's Role in Terror: Explaining the Denial Submitted by Mike Conlon (United States), Nov 16, 2015 at 22:25 This is a great article. It gives me ammunition for debates about the evasion of noting Islamofascim in the name of PC, something that has bugged me for a long time. I am saving it to a folder of worthwhile re-reads and references. Also, it reminded me that Guliani had a brief run for Repub candidate, loosing early to the big looser, McCain. He might have made it if he had made a clear case for the contrast between how he recognized Islamofascism in New Yorks anti terror efforts, and many specifics on Obama was being blind to It. Guliani could have pointed to the popular TV show "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" as an example of the same kind of PC on TV, to bring it into the minds of the public that doesn't pay as much attention to these debates. I specifically wish he had noted a particualar episode. In this one, the popular cop charecter Goren discovers a brutalized arab kid in a pet store who mysteriously disappeared, then reappeared months later, and dropped out of Grad School. The kid acted like a beaten child in the interview, being "over-the-top" obsequious. Goren discovers that New York is operating a secret wing of a jail to illegally hold Muslims, and torture them for information. They would either be released with threats to keep them quiet, or "disappeared." I have seen this episode more than once, as a fan of the show, and it really underscores how show biz can spin reality. I;m sure many think that Guliani was acting that way, instead of doing legal surviellance and getting warrants. Thanks again for this great article.
