No safe passage? No services!Reader comment on item: Muslim "No-go Zones" in Europe? Submitted by Barry Goldberg (United States), Dec 3, 2015 at 13:43 So, what are municipal officials such as police, fire, and emergency workers supposed to do? I would suggest they simply don't go into such neighborhoods unless and until it has been worked out with the "leaders" of said heavily Muslim communities that officials will not be subjected to abuse, harassment, or worse. It seems to me the leaders of said communities will come to their senses rather quickly when the police refuse to respond to a fight, the fire fighters refuse to respond to a fire, and emergency workers refuse to respond to a given emergency until they are provide with guaranteed safe passage. Moreover, I would go a step further: social workers and others who would normally provide services should be forbidden by the authorities to enter such areas until they, too, are provide with guaranteed safe passage.
