While it is comforting to read about weaknesses of this menacing movement a few concerns still bother.

It's true; fascism and communism have not destroyed Western civilization. Nonetheless, both are still live and in some places are flourishing, notably in Russia. It happens despite the euphoria of 90s when it was trendy to dance on the communism's coffin.
Also, infighting between the different groups may crystallize the image of the strongest power which may eventually suck in all former enemies and create a monolithic one.

And again, the "obvious strengths" you mentioned in the beginning may overweight the weaknesses, which are quite possible.
