Most likely you are right. What is worrying is that the right wing parties that are going to rise up in Europe are not exactly pretty. So which brings me to a question for Dr Pipes: why is it that there are no mainstream, non racist anti Muslim parties in Europe? Why is there such a big vacuum between the two extremes on the spectrum? To some extent Trump too is a similar phenomenon from a US perspective.

The legacy parties are refusing to respond to the views of the populace.
This is unlike Trump in that plenty of Republicans are saying the things Trump does, with more consistency and thoughtfulness. Think of Jindal, Cruz, and Gingrich.
