You are optimisticReader comment on item: Jihad Awakens Europe Submitted by edith C (United States), Jul 27, 2016 at 19:05 I think the take over of Europe is well underway because of the differential in birth rates coupled with immigration from the Middle East, also because the parties on the Left cater to this new population in order to get their vote and remain in power. ?Europe has waited too long to react. In fact it is still waiting. Should there be a reaction as you suggest, it could mean a bloody civil war -- not a happy prospect. By the way, this is not the first time Islam has put pressure on Europe: from the gates of Vienna to the conquest of Spain and southern France... this is an old story. Only then the European countries resisted. Now in the name of tolerance and human rights, they do not. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. Daniel Pipes replies: No, I am not optimistic, and for the reason you provide: When Europeans assert themselves, it will be a mess, if not a bloody civil war. Reader comments (20) on this item
