Can we forget this pipe dream of a reformed Islam? It isn't going to happen because Allah declared it perfect a long time ago and is no longer available for discussion.
Not only that but we do not have decades in order to find out whether the (mythical) moderates are amenable. The issue of subjugation, civil war or a popular democratic reaction against Islamisation (which Dr Pipes favours) will be decided in the coming decade or two.
