Current American Politics Marginalizes America's Part in the G20Reader comment on item: Trump's Muslim Immigration Policy Is Evolving for the Better Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Sep 13, 2016 at 15:58 Whether Dr Pipes is right about a Trump presidency, or not, remains to be seen, a situation that can be speculated about until November 9th, but real answers will not be viable until he is sworn in on a cold January day. The dialog about how Islam, American Muslim versus non-American Muslim sensibilities and all the tension from internal challenges and attacks from abroad are actually not going to be solved by a presidential victory one way or another because that dynamic was set in motion decades ago and the Clintonization of America gave the Islamic paradigm in America fertile ground in which to spread. The first attack on the World trade Center was on the Clinton watch. Now it will be easy for someone to say that was a failure and the Clinton presidency was not responsible. Yet the attack showed it could be done; just an adjustment of tactics was all that was needed, something we learned on September 11, 2001. People are having a hard time with a Trump presidency, especially those who would have seen another candidate make the try. But Trump trumped that and here we are. A Clinton II presidency is not all that hard to imagine the results of, since she will not be asking BHO how to run the place, but her former Chief Executive, WJC. But that is presupposing that we get to the election; and that is way too far into the immediate vision of what BHO still has in play and is not going to be stopped before winter. That is what Trump faces, NOW. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
