Nice site. Who knows what will happen next.Reader comment on item: Trump's Muslim Immigration Policy Is Evolving for the Better Submitted by Michael S (United States), Sep 25, 2016 at 20:25 Hi, Rebecca. It is a lovely site. I notice that American support for Trump is likened to Europe's anti-establishment movement begun with the Brexit. I notice that there is a convergence of opinions here; but I don't know which way it will turn. You know that with the "Arab Spring", Western leaders thought that millions of Arabs would embrace democracy and become Westerners. That didn't happen, and now we have the mess we have. Which way will things turn in the coming months, both in North America and in Europe? I don't know. Brexit certainly hasn't been the disaster everyone seemed to be predicting, and neither has the EU quickly fallen apart. If Sarkozy wins in France, maybe things will stabilize there; but then, Germany could go any of many ways. A Trump victory here may put more steam behind European independence movements. I think a more nationalist, independent Europe will eventually get more behind a NATO-like union, with a strong US providing leadership, and an economic connection more agreeable to all parties. That's purely a guess. Ultimately, I expect and Imperialist dictatorship, no matter who wins the upcoming election.
