Between what poles moderate Muslims moderateReader comment on item: The Case of Christopher Bail Submitted by Prashant (United States), Sep 14, 2016 at 20:47 Dear Dr Pipes, Your reader Daniel Gurevich asks, "between what poles moderate Muslims moderate". This question is not very difficult to answer. xtremist Muslims (call them conservative if you so will) work relentlessly for expansion of Islam with whatever means they can get hold of. That part is simple. But are there any moderate Muslims and what do they do? Moderate Muslims are quite a few. You see them in the media and universities all day long. They spend their time in apologizing for the behaviors of extremists. They come up with newer and newer excuses for the miserable state of Islamic affairs and they make partnerships of leftist non-Muslims. It is as simple as that. Then, who is on the other pole? On the other pole there are very few Muslims. It is populated by non-Muslims who try to oppose Islam. So while most religious groups there are significant conservative, liberal, moderate factions, among Muslims, conservatives are extremists, moderates are apologists, and there are very few liberals.
