Predicting surprisesReader comment on item: Future Surprises that Could Shock the World: A Symposium Submitted by PezDispenser (Israel), Jan 19, 2017 at 10:46 Since it is fun to make predictions, I'll assume it is alright to make a few of my own: 1) Tony Blair will eventually make a comeback and wrest control of the Labour party from the grips of Corbin. 2) Iraq will be fully liberated, the Kurds will declare independence and secede from the country, and the US will recognize the latter as the newest middle eastern state. 3) Israelis will go to elections and vote in centrist Yair Lapid as prime minister, thus sending Netanyahu home and to the lecture circuit. The new government will coordinate with Trump to resurrect the Bush Letter. 5) Interest rates will finally begin to go up and put a damper on high housing costs in urban areas. 6) The Netherlands will vote in Wilders. 7) Senator Cory Booker will be the next democratic nominee for president. He will seek to replicate Obama's 2008 victory. 8) France will become much less attractive for Western tourists in the next decade.
