Are palestinians a "people" an addtional commentReader comment on item: Is There a Palestinian People? Can It be Defeated? Submitted by Richard Martin (China), Jan 28, 2017 at 01:47 You state in your argument that "The Palestinian Authority in 1994 gave it official status." you fail to mention that the PLO which fathered the PA was a Soviet invention. But lets look at this PA. To further their illegitimate demand to have a state carved out of Israel, they have "elected" a leader, Abbas, whose noteriety up to then ( 14 years ago) was as author of a Holocaust Denying book which unless I am mistaken still provides the official PA view of the Holocaust. Please correct me if I am wrong. And this same PA denies that the Temple Mount ever had any Jewish Temple upon it. The history of Jerusalem as a city built by King David, is a lie. The precepts of Judaism are denied everywhere. And when they get their hands on a Jewish historical place- Joseph's Tomb, they ransack it, burn it down and kill a Jew who upon hearing the news, rushed to the place to retrieve Jewish holy manuscripts. You have deemed palestinians to be a people when their "best" argument on their own behalf is to deny the entire Jewish History of Israel. And to add to this absurdity are claims that they are the original inhabitants of the land who were conquered by Jews. One of the biggest fools and liars of all time, a high ranking PA official, Saeb Ereket once said "I have a score to settle with Joshua for burning down my ancestors home". Yes, he is talking about the Biblical battle of Jericho!! And you think palestinians have in effect, "cemented their rights" as a people by virtue of the establishment of the fraudulent, lying PA? Israel is at fault in this, as it is in so many things, by allowing bulldozers to excavate on and in the Temple Mount and dump as construction waste, God knows how many coins, pottery, and other ancient Jewish artifacts. Has there ever been a palestinian coin unearthed? No, and there never will be. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. However they got there, you can't refute that. Reader comments (24) on this item
