Israel needs to depend on its God.

The bureaucrats have a definite advantage. By the time I've finished looking up how to spell "bureaucrat", there's a new President in the White House! but the bureaucracy is essentially, and largely has been since the days of Truman and Eisenhower.

American commitment to Israel is grass-roots; and it is most loudly demonstrated in the Congress of elected senators and congressmen. The President can override Congress, with disastrous circumstances. That may happen after Trump is no longer President. While he is, though, I think Israel is secure. Even so, Israel has to learn how to trust in its own God, the King of the Universe, and not pant after every new US leader.
