Strange as it may seem, as quickly as President Trump appears on the political scene, he surprised everyone who had any political acumen as to what, where, when and how (at minimum) his political phenomena completely interrupted the Obama 44th Administration's plan of attack on the former American Constitutional governance, doing so in a way it appears no one, if any, still understands.
The observer has written, and still maintains, for as much as everyone thought they knew about Donald J. Trump (like him, hate him, determine in repugnance of how he presented himself in public), completely disrupted the status quo in just about every venue in which a public figure could ever be introduced, even as he blithely walked down a grandiose staircase to a recasting of his persona.
To be sure, even as his attempt at a second election may, or may not be, still controversial, it is, in fact not outside the realm of this observer's contention that it remains appropriate to the circumstances in which his disruption of the American political processes is in no small way part of a greater process of destiny in which the American experiment crossed paths with Israel's destiny, neither going back.
As observed, Israel's relations with America went back and forth with controversial attitudes that cannot be explained away in either secular or religious overtones; but from Israel's place in history, the philosophies of the ancients and the intellectualism of modern pursuits of governance have intersected in a way, that even as there may be a postulated means of understanding, none appears to understand.
That brings us, in this forum particularly for the topic at hand, yet also for the attempt of understanding what just happened in May; but further to realize that it is just the beginning, or shall it be written, the restart of circumstances in which the Middle East, indeed the meddling world, finds itself and themselves embarking on a fateful trip into a darkened reality that was paused by President Trump.
In four years, President Trump changed forever the track of destiny of America; and yet the success of that was antithetical to the ambitions of empires for so many; the Iranian Islamic Regime, the Russian neo-Pyotr Regime, the neo-caliphate of a revived Turkish presence in Erdoğan, and all the others who seek Israel's diminishment, if not complete elimination by the Iranian proxies in Hamas and Hizbollah.
What did these last 11 days of May do? They were an expression of the throwing off of the complete dissing of the 'Palestinians' in the accomplishment of the Abrahamic Accords with the Arab children of Abraham, which have prophetic implications in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures. The non-Arab adherents of the Islamic influences that remain in the depleted presence on the Temple Mount cannot let that stand.
For this moment of reflection on what indeed, just happened, that while the conflict here is a perennially occurring reminder that the age of empires has not yet ended (but likely has an ending no one will fully comprehend), Dr. Pipes' pragmatic approach and decidedly well learned study of these circumstances lends to an examination of the motives and ideological causes of rage seen here.
A conclusion to be drawn (beyond the obvious), is that President Trump was an anomaly, a force of reckoning that was as quick and determinative as a tornado (a scirocco, if one chooses), in which the status quo in humanistic processes of thought and the attempts of mere mankind will not determine Israel' destiny; read the Tanakh, especially the pronouncements like in Jeremiah to understand why.
In the final analysis, President Trump's legacy is done and his heirs do not gain Israel; just as Cyrus was predicted to interfere in Israel's history, ask where his inheritance is? Also, in Isaiah, where do the 'Palestinians' inherit any territory where any of the land of Caphtor had held territory, but are no longer to be found in the land; only the designates of the Almighty are promised access, and that's Israel.
