The Straw Man Approach

It does not take a genius to work out that if Muslim service people are suffering from prejudice it might be connected with the problem of Islamist terrorism. Michelle Sandhoff appears to be making a straw man out of Dr Pipes for the express purpose of demolishing him. Or she is being lazy. Or avoiding the elephant in the room, i.e. terrorism. Or - G-d forbid - she might even be afflicted by the very thing of which she accuses Dr Pipes - prejudice. Whichever, I will not be buying the book in order to find out.
