neither bad or an assReader comment on item: The Most Embarrassingly Wrong Book Ever on the Middle East? Submitted by strong aingel (United Kingdom), Aug 15, 2017 at 15:09 Bashar al-Assad has done what any legitimate leader is mandated to do. He has protected his people from domestic terrorists and internationally contrived armies. The position between the Alawites and Sunni populations has been one of war for centuries and cernturies. The Sunni hate the Alawites the same way they hate "Jews". Assad did not cause this conflict. But he was never prepared to see his People - the Alawites - annihilated by #muh. On an entirely different level the Alawite take on islam, their alterations of and rejections of, makes their belief system entirely more correct .. if that is at all possible where the Middle East fable industry is concerned .. than the Sunni, or or that matter the Shia islam.
