NATO Is As Weak and Confused As Its MembersReader comment on item: Saving NATO from Turkey Submitted by Dave, Oct 18, 2017 at 20:08 Europe, particularly Western Europe, the backbone of NATO, is made up of states run by leaders who are busy destroying their countries through their extravagant and foolish immigration policy, accompanied by repression of speech deemed too critical of Islamism. These leaders are ignorant and confused and should not be expected to take decisive steps to defend a civilization which they have lost faith in from an ideology they don't understand. Just as they tolerate a new, primitive and intolerant subculture within their states, they will tolerate its mirror image - Erdogan's Turkey - on the outside, as part of NATO. We need to look elsewhere for solid partners: the Visegrad countries (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia), Greece, Cyprus, India and Israel for starters. Western Europe is too decadent.
