The apple and the tree

Richard Pipes seems like a hard-working, accomplished gentleman. His work on "Team B" appears to have been world-changing, for the good.

In my Bible, the chapter concerning Sarah's death was entitled "The Life of Sarah". That's a good way of looking at life. It isn't until a man or woman dies, and the chickens have come home to roost, that we can fairly see what they have done. In this sense, the Jahrzeit has more meaning than the birthday.

In your case, Daniel, "the apple seems to have not fallen far from the tree." This is good, for all of us.
